nature-inspired + grounded in the seasons.
Hi, I’m Ashley; full time maker, daydreamer, wife and mother living in California and raising two sweet little ones. I can always be found making something and I am most content when I am creating with my hands. I have been doing handwork professionally for over a decade now and have occupied different creative niches over the years, shifting and evolving with each new season. In 2018 I started Woodlark Blog to have a place to start documenting the nature-based projects that I was doing with my older son who is now 8, and since then I’ve spent the past few years nurturing it’s growth; filling it with projects that are both approachable and accessible for children and adults of all skill levels. I was constantly asked where to find sustainable and high quality craft materials, so a year later in 2019 I opened Woodlark Shop. In the shop you’ll find find high-quality and environmentally conscious craft materials and art supplies for your projects– the exact materials and supplies that we use and love ourselves.
Woodlark nurtures an appreciation for the art of making things by hand, making conscious decisions for the wellbeing of the earth and living deeply grounded in the seasons. This is a collection of things that we love, things that we make, and the yearly traditions that ground us in our current stage of life– It’s life with my little ones, knee deep in the garden, balancing motherhood, a never-ending to-do list of projects and embracing the shift that comes with each season. This is our every day and I’m so glad that you’re here.
